Downtown Los Angeles is an awful place. It’s a graffiti-stained, race track abstraction full of NPCs and criminals. The engineering is horrible. A mix of one-ways and confusing traffic patterns. Did you know the wrong left turn sends you off the edge of the Earth. Or that all buildings require system administrators, pop-bellies, and secret codes. How do businesses operate? Downtown isn’t safe for work. It isn’t safe for anything. Anyone. In fact, the police recommends relaxing on the roof. I know. It's ridiculous in theory and context. There’s no convenience. Noise pollution is a constant threat to humanity. It's stupidly expensive. And worst of all, there’s no parking. It’s made for an insurgency.
